Pros:
- Tons to do! Could easily spend hours here.
- I have a 2 and 4 year old and it was perfect for that range.
- lots of fun and thoughtful Christmas activities!
Cons:
- Although I’m sure everything was clean and well cared for, because it’s dated, I was anxious most of the trip. I don’t need everything to be new, but I was definitely overwhelmed with the amount of old toys. I was so uncomfortable when my four year old picked up multiple very old stuffed animals. The talking tree was peeling from where tons of kids had touched him and wasn’t sure he was safe to touch.
- the building is also very dated, and made made me wonder about health and safety. In one room alone I could see 3 different carpet/floor patterns and that felt unsafe.
- On the whole for such a modern and fast growing city, I was disappointed that the kid’s museum wasn’t more updated. Pairing down on the offering, focusing on safety and clarity of vision, and even better lighting choices could go a long way.
If I lived here with things as they are right now, I would not invest in a membership.
We went for the first time and had so much fun! This weekend was Harry Potter exhibit and they put so much detail into everything! Everywhere we turned was something new and different. My 5yo had a absolute blast exploring and learning new things. It was exciting too as a adult to see all the different stations and have a opportunity to play and learn along with my children.
This place is now apart of our summer plans and will be returning many times! Thanks so much for all yall do.
Celebrated our great-granddaughter’s 3rd birthday in the party room. The museum experience was enjoyable for the kids. So much to do. Only issue I had was we were rushed out at 1 pm for the next party who came early and was not given the 30 minutes we were told we had to clean up. We were not told that we had a discount ticket on the party cart for $10 off in store. Our coordinator that was assigned to us was new and was not much help. This experience was new to us too.
Wow, a really great visit here with the family. Every part of this museum is engaging and there are so many neat things for kids to touch and learn about. We really enjoyed the visit, thought the cost was quite reasonable, and could recommend to others!
It is a wonderful place for younger kids. The Children's Museum Hosts lots of special fun and exciting activities. Knowledge Learning Tinker Lab offers kids a variety of space , science, and education learning. Closed on Monday and call ahead for special information and school rates. Also, a fabulous upstairs children's birthday party and classroom eating area. They also oversee the Historic Constitution Hall located just across the street...
This used to be much better. I took my toddlers last month and was very disappointed. Most everything was extremely worn or not functioning properly. Biscuit's Backyard (the toddler area) was missing most of the toys and just seemed dirty. I don't think anything has been updated in years. Considering the cost of admittance, this museum is a complete waste.
We went for a class field trip for Kindergarten and it was amazing! So many different things to do and hands on experiences. I think the Tinker Lab was one of the faves 😍
Staff were amazing! The place was well organized and clean. There was no wait to get in. The location was easy to find.
